Lee Teicheira and Bill Lawrence prepared the plane for an engine test run by adding fuel to tank, disconnect battery tender and connecting negative cable, replaced seals on valve cover retaining bolts, replacing and torquing lower spark plugs and pulling plane out of hangar and tying it to Lee's pickup to anchor. Having made adjustments to the carburetor, the engine started readily, ran well and idled smoothly after warming up! A very successful attempt. The only negative, it would not run on the magnatron ignition alone. More research and testing to find the problem.
